Government of Austria Scholarship Opportunity
TRU exchange partner, Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) or at any other university of applied sciences in Austria:
Ernst Mach Grant for studying at an Austrian university of applied sciences (Fachhochschule)
This grant is for undergraduate and graduate students who would like to study at an Austrian university of applied sciences for one or two semesters during the 2018-2019 academic year. Undergraduate students must have completed at least 4 full-time semesters in order to be considered eligible. Students in almost all fields are eligible. The grant is EUR 1.050 per month. For more information on the grant and eligibility criteria, please go to www.grants.at and search for “Ernst Mach Grant for studying at an Austrian university of applied sciences (Fachhochschule)”.
The grant application deadline for the 2018-19 academic year is March 1, 2018. To apply for this grant, your students need the letter of acceptance from MCI or the other partner institution. This means that they have to apply to MCI first, will then get their MCI letters of acceptance, and will subsequently be able to apply for the Ernst Mach Grant.
NOTE: TRU nominates all students who participate within the exchange program and therefore those details are provided well in advance to support partner school internal requirements. Nominates would need to be provided by the end of January 2018.
Please note that this is a grant offered by the Austrian government, not by MCI, and it is competitive. The better students prepare their grant application (esp. the reasons why they want to study in Austria/at MCI and how studying in Austria fits into their current studies and future plans), the greater their chances of getting the grant.
