The Ted Fellows program

The TED Fellows program brings young innovators from around the world into the TED community in order to amplify the impact of their projects and activities. Fellows participate in either our TED Conference in Long Beach, California or the TEDGlobal event in Edinburgh, U.K. In addition to attending the conferences, Fellows will participate in specially designed pre-conference programs with training from the world’s experts in spreading great ideas. John G. Diefenbaker Award

The award enables a distinguished German scholar to spend time in Canada, which may include brief periods in the United States. While research must be the primary activity during the award period, the laureate (award recipient) will be encouraged to participate in the teaching activities of the host institution and to interact with the research communities in Canada and the United States by visiting other institutions. Canada- Haiti Academic Projects

Wildlife Preservation Canada (WPC)- Canada’s New Noah

The Canada’s New Noahs program is a highly valued opportunity for young biologists in Canada. Since 1990, it has filled a gap in conservation education in this country, providing practical training and field experience in managing and conserving endangered species. Each year WPC selects one young Canadian scientist for the Canada’s New Noahs program. WPC provides a full scholarship for travel, living and training expenses to enable the New Noah to participate in a rigorous 8-month training program to learn methods of endangered species management. Mini Cooper Yaletown Study Abroad Scholarship

2013 Swedish Government Grants for Non-European Students

In its budget for 2013 the Swedish government has proposed doubling the grant for students from outside Europe. The move should help attract foreign students to Sweden, which saw a dramatic drop in numbers following the introduction of fees for non-Europeans in 2011.
